A Castle for all seasons, and one of the most romantic and historic buildings in the land. Listed in the Domesday Book, this castle has been a Norman stronghold, a royal residence for six of England's medieval queens, a palace of Henry VIII, and a retreat for the powerful and influential. There's only one way to discover why Lord Conway described Leeds Castle as 'The Loveliest Castle in the World' - and that's to visit it for yourself!
500 acres of glorious grounds surround the castle and its moat. Flowers and foliage abound in the formal gardens - the Culpeper and the Lady Baillie Garden, while the maze with its secret underground grotto provides a challenging half hour. To help plan your visit and to find out more about the history of a building that has stood on this spot for over a thousand years, visit the official website: www.leeds-castle.com
