Clear Channel Entertainment and
Harvey Goldsmith are unfortunately obliged to announce the re-scheduling
of the two Luciano Pavarotti's UK concerts, which were due to take place
on 9 July 2005 as part of the Summer Nights Concert Series.
Harvey Goldsmith CBE, the producer of Pavarotti's Farewell Tour, today
confirmed that both concerts have been re-scheduled due to the need for
Pavarotti to undergo a medical procedure (see below). Unfortunately, due
to the difficulty of date changes at the specific venues, it has been
impossible to re-schedule the dates within 2005.
The new date has been confirmed for the Summer Nights concert next year: The concert
at Chatsworth House will now take place
on 8 July 2006. All tickets already purchased will
be valid for the rescheduled dates, though refunds will be available at
the point of purchase from Monday 11 April.
Terri Robson, the tenor's manager added, "Luciano Pavarotti recently
underwent minor surgery to his neck. His doctors reported that he
recovered very quickly from this operation and have now advised that the
second and final stage of this procedure must take place at the
beginning of June 2005. This situation requires that Pavarotti will,
unfortunately, be forced to move two planned UK concert dates during
this period."
